Silencing The Wind

This sculpture was inspired by Boreas, the god of the north wind in Greek mythology. He is often depicted as a powerful, cold, and forceful wind. Boreas is associated with winter, bringing frost and icy air. He is typically seen as fierce and unpredictable, yet majestic, eventually carrying a sense of cleansing and renewal, as winter gives way to spring.
In “Silencing the Wind”, the girl makes a sign with her finger asking for silence. It is time for a change… The power of the wind is visible in her flowing hair, frosty eyes and winter clothes, while her strength lies in her gentle, childlike persuasion and believe that Boreas  will listen to her heart…

The sculpture is made of resin. The whole sculpture is hand-cast.
