Art has always accompanied me, through colours, music and shapes. My casual contact with the Academy of Fine Arts in my hometown, my early fascination with detail through the paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński, the ability to make use of randomly captured impressions and love for nature and symbolic inspired my own artistic workshop and laid the foundation for my own form of expression.
I was born in Poland but moved to Sydney in 2007. Travelling and curiosity were part of my life. I am like a restless soul looking for new challenges. I was working in various fields: teaching, marketing, travel industry & individual support and was always passionate about creativity and new and unusual forms of expression.
As a German language lecturer at the University of Łódź, I used painting in an analogy to literature, as a didactic element in the interpretation of works. Today I create my own art pieces influenced by nature , micro and macro space and symbolic.
Artist Statement
Current works reflect the fascination for diffusing and blending shapes in the micro and macro space. I love the texture the multi-layered compositions and try to visualise the unspoken. For me art expresses and transforms the spark brought to the soul, a reflection of thoughts, dreams, symbols or accidentally encountered pictures. I believe that in the process of painting or sculpturing every piece begins to speak with its own language, revealing the hidden depths that has escaped our senses at first glance. Following the unknown is part of the experience. This is why I called my website: wade in unknown.
